I need an effective medication for tendinitis?

Anti-inflammatories: Depending on which tendon is inflamed, therapy will vary but generally focuses on: 1. physical therapy to strengthen supporting structures and take pressure off the tendon that is inflamed, and 2. anti-inflammatories such as ibuprofen, naproxen, meloxicam, or diclofenac. All of these are roughly equivalent; the first 2 are obtainable over-the-counter. All can also upset reflux/heartburn.

NSAID'S: Probably the most commonly prescribed class are the NSAID's. They do have side effects, however, and their use should be monitored by your doctor. Dr. Latva
