No dependency: potential has been reported, and I have seen patients on long-standing treatment for chemotherapy where there were no detectable symptoms after abrupt discontinuation. Almost anything can be associated with psychological dependency, however. You need to talk to your prescriber if you have been on ondansetron for a long time, as well as your pharmacist.

Probably not.: You can develop habitual use that is hard to change, as you can with any drug. But Ondansetron doesn't have the particulars that would make one worry abaut addiction, and it is not known to create addiction.
