A member asked:

Hd urinalysis, it says rbc 16-18hpf and pus 1-2 hpf, moderate bacteria, few mucus threads and epithelial cells. should i be concerned?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Blood in urine: 16 to 18 RBC's in the urine indicates blood in the urine. Blood in the urine (unless it is menstrural blood) is not normal and should be evaluated. Possible causes include infection, stones, blood disorders, trauma and tumors. Your doctor can help sort this out.
