Cactus spines: If you feel there are remaining spines, see your doctor again or let then dissolve. It is possible with the symptom that they may have irritated a nerve. Watch for any signs of infection, swelling, redness or drainage. If infection is a concern he may need an antibiotic. Keep the area clean and try applying an ice pack. All the best.
