True: This is due to slower absorption when digested versus inhaled. Especially when mixed with food, drugs taken by mouth (whether cannabis or a prescribed pharmaceutical) are absorbed gradually. This lengthens their overall duration of action compared to the same drug that enters the bloodstream immediately via injection or inhalation.
