Sounds sciatic: The nerve running from spine to leg is easily irritated if you have any disc problems and even just from sitting. Look up sciatica and piriformis and try some of the exercises. Use heat if it helps and acetaminophen as directed. If it is very severe or you have numbness or weakness in the leg or the pain goes down the leg, you should see someone to have your nerve connections and discs checked

Sciatica pain: When an extensive area of your back and related parts is hurting, you should rule out disc compression. Get your PMD to order MRI scan of the spine to make sure and consult neuro if necessary. You would definitely benefit from physical therapy, which would require an MRI for a definitive diagnosis. Feel better
