I woke up this morning with extremely intense pain in the bottom right side of my back just above my butt, and the pain shoots down my right leg like a lightning bolt. worst pain i have ever felt in my life. sitting is the worst. it hurts to breathe ?

Right butt pain: May be sciatica. if not allergic consider aleve (naproxen) 200 mg 2 tabs , try ice 10 minutes on 3-4 times a day massage, if bowel of bladder issues ( can't urinate) go to ER. rarely could be kidney stone ( need to drink lots of fluid) or even rare clot ( because you said huts to breathe-need d-dimer)f/u w/doc urgent care for muscle relaxants, or steroids may help pain may need tests like UA for stones

Nerve impingement: With sciatica. This sounds severe. You will need to be seen by your primary MD with possible intervention with pain meds, Nsaids, PT.
