A member asked:

My wife has a lump on her coccyx which she broke 20 yrs ago. it is painful for her sitting and standing up. it isn't red and doesn't look like infection. sometimes it even seems to soften up and move a little. what could this be?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Scar tissue: This could be scar tissue, reaction to the fracture. Not sure if it is amenable to "shaving" to reduce it. An orthopedic surgeon could help evaluate that.
