Common finding: Any fever will add 10 beats per degree per minute to a kids resting heart rate. It is the bodies way of increasing the healing factors in the blood so they can do the work needed for healing. The numbers you cite are pretty normal for what is going on. Make sure the kid is drinking fluids to keep up with the extra need produced by fever.
