A member asked:

With ibs, does having a bm always make the stomach discomfort get better?

No.: Greetings from Whidbey. Sometimes BM makes it worse. it is not always the same among different patients or even among the same patient over time. The consistent finding is that BM causes a change in the pain therefore localizing the pain to the GI tract.
