Off & on i'll get stomach ache. bit side discomfort. nausea. doc said ibs. stool is always soft mushy. green-brown. slimy & green mucus. this ibs?

Wellll....: The presence of mucus concerns me - could be a sign of inflammatory bowel disease. Ibs is more of a description than a disease - there's no diagnostic test or treatment, and is usually tagged to people who have any number of vague GI symptoms but no definitive diagnosis.I suggest good hydration, a balanced diet, and some yogurt.Consider a GI consult for the stool mucus.
