Not really: All anticoagulants increase the bleeding risk. The new anticoagulants (Xarelto, Eliquis) do not appear to increase bleeding risk more than Coumadin (warfarin). But there are no specific antidotes available for newer anticoagulants. This could be a concern sometimes.
