Large local reaction: Some kids seem to go through a phase where mosquito bites get bigger and bigger - large red, hard, itchy knots that last for days. With time they grow out of them. This is not anaphylaxis or worrisome. There are reports in the literature of military recruits in basic training getting sick from literally hundreds of mosquito bites, but that's the exception that proves the rule! Use steroid cream.
