It Depends: Testosterone is a diff test to interpret and should only be checked if there are symptoms.It can also be affected by many probs espec psych conditions and the meds to treat them.There are must ways to measure free testosterone and they often do not correlate.FTI and Bioavail T are prob best.All measures vary week,DO NOT RELY ON 1 TEST.See a good endocrinologist with exp before tx. ncbi.nlm.nih.gov

Complicated: The way you measure it in the laboratory will give you different results so interpretation is based on that. Testosterone is carried in the blood bound to a sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG) and the only bio active form is the Free testosterone. Various conditions male it go up and down, Speak to your doc about it.
