A member asked:

How long does a child usually need to miss school for a tympanoplasty?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Everyone's different: On average most children in whom no complications arise either during or after surgery can be back in school and even normal activities within 1-3 days after tympanoplasty. Generally, they go home the same day unless there are complications such as nausea and vomiting then, an overnight stay may occur but this is infrequent.
