Not related: Yeast is everywhere, so we are friends and neighbors with yeast, regardless of whether we eat it or not. A yeast infection is usually when some yeast overgrows (there becomes a lot more of it than we usually have) or when some yeast gets into parts of the body that are usually clear of any germs (places that are "sterile").
