Antifungal: Yeast infections of all kinds are best treated by using antifungal medications- some are otc and other are by prescription. Make sure it is really yeast before taking otc preparations for this. As for avoiding them, some people believe that consuming processed sugars increases one's risk. It's not clearly established but, moderating one's intake of refined sugar is a good idea anyway.

Are you sure ?: Many women think that all vaginal irritation is a yeast infection. It could be bacterial vaginosis, and std, or some other issue. Chronic yeast infections always make me worry about diabetes. Go back to see your physician or healthcare provider to be sure this is really a yeast infection. If you have recently been treated with antibiotics, then a yeast infection is more likely. Eat yogurt.
