A member asked:

Is the inion palpable?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: It is the most prominent part of the posterior part of the human skull. However, it may be variable in size between different people as are most things in general. FYI, when a patient goes to get an EEG, the inion is used as a landmark to determine where to place the electrodes over the skull.
