A member asked:

Should my thyroid be palpable?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

maybe: A lot depends on your neck. In a person with a long neck and little fat, a normal thyroid can often be palpated (felt) by a good examiner. In people with a short neck and a lot of fat, even a moderate goiter can be hard to feel.
