Not syphilis: The chance that a finger sore is a syphilitic chancre is zero for practical purposes, even if your finger has been in contact with an infected person's genital area. The "dot" is something else. (Left untreated, it takes a week or so for a chancre to become an open sore, usually 3-10 mm in diameter.)
