None: Does the lump move when he sticks his tongue out of his Mouth? If the lump moves, a Thyroglossal cyst is possible. does your son have any fever or weight loss for the last three weeks? I would recommend an ultrasound of his neck and the lawn next week. complete blood count with differential and and lab work for thyroid studies would be helpful. warm compress over lump for 20 minutes - 3 times/d

Probably benign node: If he doesn't have additional big nodes under his arm pits and groin, and is otherwise in good shape, you can watch it till his next appointment to get it checked out. These probably are Mandibular nodes from enlarged tonsils and other common frequent infections in the head and neck region. Fir his age, EBV is a common culprit.
