Cough: This most likely was a viral upper respiratory tract infection for which antibiotics are useless. However if your cough worsens or is accompanied by fever,chills,sweats,discolored sputum,wheezing,shortness of breath or chest pain, an examination by your physician is indicated as antibiotics may then be needed.
