Metronidazole: caffeine has no effect on metronidazole as far as I know but I would not take the two together

Doubtful: It isn't likely that caffeine would have any meaningful effect on the efficacy of metronidazole either directly or indirectly.

Drug interaction: Beware of alcohol and metronidazole interaction. There are many liquid meds which contain alcohol and they can cause you a real problem.
