Usually little.: The physiologic response to caffeine varies from person to person; some experience palpitations; however, in a small study of hourly cups of coffee given to a healthy volunteer over an 8 hour period, caffeine had no significant effect upon blood pressure and cardiac rhythm. It would be very unusual to raise ones blood pressure from 120 to 180.
