Cystoscopy itself...: is unlikely to cause long term problems. Urinary infection, swelling & inflammation, if they do occur, usually do so soon afterwards. Other causes of slow stream in young men include prostatitis, insufficient fluid intake, self-consciousness, STD's, ureteral scarring, kidney stones in the bladder or urethra and some neurological problems. If you're scared, please see the urologist again.
