Hallux Extension: Is this causing you problems? - this motion is known as extension of the joint. Several muscles work together to produce this motion. If this is a problem for you (not just somehting you noticed) please consult a physician. You may have an issue going on w/ 1 of the musculotendonious structures, or it could be something stemming from your back where the nerves to the muscles originate.
