Am 19. i've read stories of ventricular tachycardia and sudden death and am worried every time i have heart palpitations. reassurance would be great?

Relax: We all have occasional extra heart beats. If you have a structurally normal heart (no weakening of the muscle) and no other familial risk factors (Long QT, ARVD, Cardiomyopathy, etc.) then you really don't have anything to worry about. Ask your doctor to get an EKG and or a 24 hour monitor. A physical exam should be sufficient but if you need more reassurance an ECHO would be beneficial.
