Needs more research: Some say high doses of Vit C can acidify urine and thus help treat UTI's, but research on this has only used doses up to 4 grams a day and found that dose didn't acidify urine enough to kill bacteria. However, taking higher doses (like 1-2000 mg per hour) might be effective. The only significant side effect might be loose stools. You could get pH strips to monitor. See http://tinyurl.com/paakaac
