Many causes: If there is sudden change in wound healing you may want to see a physician for an evaluation and at very least recommendation for treatment due to a specific wound type. The reasons are numerous and can be as innocuous as the site of injury being one that heals more slowly to things such as diabetes, nutritional issues, vascular disease, or other systemic processes.

Many Causes: There were many factors that affect wound healing. The term “slow” is difficult to define and therefore is really not important as long as the wound heals. Is he on a new medicine such as a NSAID ? Is to located in an area that is getting a lot of activity? Keep the wound covered and minimize stress to the area, and change your dressing every other to every third day
