My husband has been doing a loud clicking noise when sleeping, it looks like he is swallowing saliva because i see his mouth move ,what could it be ?

Talk to his MD: He could have sleep apnea , will need sleep studies to monitor and detect the problem . Ask you family doctor for referral to sleep study centre .

Very well maybe: A case of bruxism... grinding of the teeth. This often result in loud awkward noises due to the enamel grinding. Sounds like your husband should review this with his dentist. As if this is the case it could damage his teeth and cause headaches and jaw pain. Best of luck.
