Yes: The common use of colonoscopy is to define appearance of new colon lesions that are asymptomatic. At times needed for bx. Tumors of the colon do not remain stable and asymptomatic. They grow eventually producing a napkin ring lesion that obstructs and often bleeds .This is associated with drop in Hg level. If any mild symptoms present for several years probably inflammatory in nature.
