Post op tonsil: Greetings. It is common to see some bleeding after a tonsillectomy. The amount of bleeding and frequency needs to be relayed to your surgeon. If you were my patient, with this brief history, I would suggest just observation. The dark scab is just that a scab that is covering a healing wound. Have it rechecked with your surgeon to be sure. That is my policy, recheck after bleeding in post op pd.
