Yes: The uvula can be irritated from the breathing tube(endotracheal tube) which goes down your throat. It is sloughing or shedding mucosa that was injured and new normal tissue will return. The white stuff in the tonsil area is usually eschar(scab) that contains a fibrinous (protein-like) substance that is protecting the site as it heals.
