Avoid alcohol: Fluconal is the trade name for fluconazole, an anti-fungal, in some countries. (Fluzone is influenza VACCINE). Some reports suggest that adding fluconazole to doxycycline can synergistically increase the anti-fungal effects of doxycycline. Most important is to avoid if you have liver disease. Since alcohol also affects the liver, I would abstain or drink very little alcohol while taking these meds
