What is remedy for scabies?

Permethrin cream 5%: The cream is applied to ENTIRE skin from ears to toes, washed off after 8-24 hours. Often repeated in 1 or 2 weeks. All contacts and everyone else in the home MUST be treated at the same time or close to it. This includes everyone, itchy or not. Sometimes ivermectin pills are used, especially in nursing homes. Ivermectin is used for animals( a related but different mite).

Agree w Dr. Dohan: Additionally -- It requires effort to get rid of Scabies. 1st, you & all members of your household need to be treated. Ivermectin is an effective medication for treating scabies. 2nd, clean (ie. Hot water in machine) clothes, bedding & towels you've come in contact w). There may be things like pillows that can’t go in the wash. Place them in a big plastic bag & tie it up. Keep it in there for 48
