Scabies treatment: The time of day itching occurs is not affected by the treatment of scabies. Itching is caused by an allergic reaction to the mite and it's feces. Generally, itching is increased with warmth and therefore more pronounced in bed. An increase in symptoms after treatment might be due to an allergic reaction to the medication and should be discussed with your doctor.

Scabies: After being treated you may still itch for 2 to 4 more weeks until the allergic reaction has completely resolved.
