A member asked:

How does we know scabies are curing after treatment?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Gradual improvement: Applying the cream twice (1 week apart) should be followed by gradual resolution of symptoms over 1-3 weeks. A person doesn't truly have to wash things because a scabies mite is supposed to die in 2-3 days if the mite is outside a person. However, because scabies is so miserably itchy, many people do wash their clothes, clean their furniture, etc... Two weeks away from the closet is enough time.
