Common wart: Common warts are viral infections and are quite contagious. They are generally painless. Pain indicates secondary bacterial infection. I would first get a OTC medicine like podophyllin to apply topically on the wart for a few days and cover it with a small bandaid. If no improvement in 1 wk, pl get it checked by the doctor.
