Acne Spots: Acne is the result of hormonal changes, particularly in adolescence. You can prevent them by eliminating nuts and peanut butter, stopping chocolate; cuting down on dairy products. Wash with neutrogena acne wash; apply a bpo (benzoyl peroxide) cream or lotion -- something like clearasil -- on the affected areas at night. If it persists, see a dermatologist who may prescribe an antibiotic for you.

Scars: Acne marks result from the scars each pimple creates. The best way to avoid the marks is to control the acne with antibiotics, retinoids, and hygiene. It is important to use sunscreen to avoid hyperpigmentation of the scars.

Hydroquinone: You will get red and then brownish acne spots if you have a olive color skin such as Asian or hispanic, or even italian. Best of to prevent is that you use a bleaching cream containing hydroquinone 4 % which is blocking tyrosinase producing melanin on your skin. Also, tretinoin is important as well.
