Back or Bottom.: A hurt or injured heel can occur in at least two different areas, the bottom or plantar and the back or posterior. Injury to these areas involves entirely different structures and each will effectively change you normal walking dynamics. Resting, elevation and ice might help with controlling the initial injury, but if pain persist, you will definitely need to have it evaluated and x-ray taken.
