A member asked:

If the autonomic system is significantly severely damaged what happens if it stops producing hormones such as adrenaline ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Adrenaline: Epinephrine and norepinephrine sometimes collectively referred to as adrenaline, are essential hormones for normal physiologic function of the body particularly when the body is under stress. They are primarily produced in the adrenal glands but are neurotransmitters as well. Their absence would be incompatible with life.
