A few ideas: May just be a temporary flare of symptoms. Self treat with soft diet, jaw exercises, massage, heat/cold, OTC pain meds. Plus any treatment you already use. If persistent symptoms, see TMJ-orofacial pain expert. Any dentist can be a TMJ expert with the proper training and experience. Most commonly, oral surgeons, prosthodontists, and orofacial pain specialists. Ask your MD or dentist for referral.
