can you tell me if i were to apply something like bonjela (an anaesthetic gel for mouth ulcers) to my skin before a piercing, would it reduce the pain?

Off-label use: There are topical anesthetics specifically made for skin application, rather than for mucosal application. Talk to a dermatologist.
