Need more info.: in order to interpret this properly we need the results of the rest of your hepatitis B profile, particularly your hepatitis B surface antibody and your hepatitis B surface antigen. It is also important to know your vaccination status to interpret these results. Good luck.

Borderline simply: means evidence of some antibody response to the antigen (glycoprotein group on surface) of the hepatitis virus used in the test; implying some form of exposure & response in the past which your immune system is still expressing. Confirmed simply means a lab technician somehow rechecked the lab test to have been performed (presumably correctly) by the equipment/kit utilized by the lab for the test.
