What is the best way to get off of nexium (esomeprazole)? at once or slowly by taking it every other day perhaps ?

Doesn't matter: You will not withdraw from Nexium (esomeprazole) so you can stop it all at once - depending on what your doctor has instructed you. You should not stop it without consulting him/her first though.
