Yes: Call your doctor immediately and be evaluated for amniotic fluid. Babies can develop severe infections if the water sac is ruptured for prolonged periods of time.

Need exam: It very well could be. You should call your doctor's office or better yet, go to labor & delivery and be tested for pprom (preterm premature rupture of membranes). If + , you may benefit from antibiotics and/or induction.
