Could be: Could be cavity or enamel pit. May need filling. Understand if you see 1mm, you don't see the full extent of the problem. It's like an iceberg. See your Dentist ASAP to have little problem fixed before it gets to be a big one.

Caries: It sounds like a cavity. how deep is unknown. Please see a dentist to have it evaluated and treated. Failure to do so will result in the cavity getting bigger.
