Clindamycin: It is unclear why you were prescribed Clindamycin for uncomplicated strep throat. Penicillin would have been perfectly adequate. Either you were allergic to penicillins, or something else was going on. The dose you were given is not inappropriate, but you do not say how many you were given. Why not call the doctor who gave you this and ask the same question?
