Yes: if the pain is severe enough that it keeps you awake at night, or even just severely limits the time that you finally fall to sleep, there may not be enough sleep time left in the night for you to reach the deeper stages of sleep. If you have persistent chronic stomach pain, especially if it's bad enough to affect your sleep, you should see your doctor. Good luck.
