Sounds like migraine: headache. You can take some otc medication such as aleve or advil or exedrine migraine etc. If do not get any better and unable to get your doctor by phone, go to an urgent care or ER to get some migraine specific headach such as cafergot, imitrex (sumatriptan) or midrin.
